CONTACT | CREATE builds on the ensemble-based physical improvisation techniques introduced in CONTACT!, offering students a fresh framework for storytelling. Starting with a core idea, image, or question, participants will develop narratives each week, focusing on central characters and deepening their understanding of conflict and need. Together, we will connect these narratives to construct compelling stories, using the dynamic physical vocabulary central to Vernal & Sere’s style to elevate the storytelling in imaginative ways. This course incorporates devising practices, encouraging students to push creative boundaries in theatre-making. It’s perfect for those looking to enhance their movement practice, apply their skills to creating original works, or explore directing.
