CONTACT! 2.0

Led by Resident Artist Vernal & Sere Theatre

6-Week Course running September 22nd - November 3 (no class October 27th)

CONTACT! 2.0 is a class that builds on the concepts introduced in CONTACT!

Students will continue to use the power of the body and the electricity of touch to create dynamic storytelling and find confidence as performers, this time applying the work to scenes from plays by playwrights including Sarah Kane, Alice Birch, Will Eno, Tennessee Williams, Henrik Ibsen, and William Shakespeare.

Additionally, class practitioners will learn how to use the tools found in CONTACT! to self-direct these scenes with additional guidance from Vernal & Sere’s guest instructor Sawyer Estes. We’ll continue to explore elements of contact improvisation and find more comfort in being present with others and the self to embrace empowered vulnerability.

This is a class all about growth and exploration. CONTACT! will help you play, create, and find freedom in your choices and instrument.

This class is designed for people with experience in acting and moving.
